Structural Characterization of the Hot-rolled Ti-25Ta-xZr Alloys by Rietveld Method

This paper aims to analyze the structure of Ti-25Ta-xZr system alloys (x = 0, 10, 20, 30, and 40% wt.) after melting hot-rolling by Rietveld's technique. The results confirm that zirconium acts as a β phase stabilizer (in which Ti-25Ta-40Zr alloy is fully in as-cast condition), increases lattice parameters phases, decreases c/a ratio α phase, consequently, elastic modulus values (86 72GPa) atomic packing factor (APF) (60% reduction compared with without condition 50% hot-rolled condition). Concerning hot-rolling, this mechanical process induces formation (APF). By William-Hall technique, it was possible calculate average crystalline size micro-strain structures.
